Examples of Praire Art's mission style vases

Prairie Art Pottery is created in the Arts and Crafts style, using inspiration from 19th century potters such as Grueby, Walley, and Hampshire. All work is done by hand. The south central Wisconsin studio is surrounded by prairie grasses, wildflowers and woodlands, images that are captured on the decorated forms.

Our mission is the create forms that are in harmony with the decoration and glaze. Eccentricity of form is avoided and the organic glazes reflect the simplicity of colors found in nature.

As you enjoy these works of art, reflect back to a time when life was simple and the gentle wildflowers were in full bloom on the open prairies of Wisconsin.
