Richard Cromwell
April 30th, 2007

As usual I always find unusual links back to pottery & even to Wisconsin. Richard Cromwell is maybe better known as the first husband of Angela Lansbury and as an accomplished actor. But he was also an accomplished potter. In the 1950’s he changed back to his given name of LeRoy Melvin Radabaugh and worked from his home studio on North Miller Drive in Hollywood. He signed his work under both his given and stage name. He won a prize at the L.A. County Fair. His painting and tiles can be seen today at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood.

And the link back to Wisconsin? His mother was born & raised in Oshkosh Wisconsin.

Frankoma exporting to England
April 16th, 2007

Nice to see that Frankoma is finding a market in England according to the Sapulpa Daily Herald in part due to how cheap American goods are in relation to English goods.
